Website Design and Marketing in the Digital Space

This workshop training is designed as a mixture of practical and academic study for those who seek to be business owners. It includes the successful completion of mandatory modules. The focus of this programme is teaching learners about:

  • Web design, marketing, and strategic business principles or SWOT analysis.
  • Participants will also learn 5-Step of How to Build a Website?
  • Content Management System (CMS)
  • Suggestions for how to run an e-commerce and working with Ali baba

Content management systems (CMS): is software that helps users create, manage, and modify content on a website without the need for specialized technical knowledge. Examples are Wix, GoDaddy, Squarespace, WordPress.

This qualification allows learners to progress in the following areas:

Develop knowledge related to the Principles of Website Building and Marketing at a beginner’s level.

Gain the technical knowledge and understanding in website programming, design logic, and dedicated application usage.

Develop their own personal growth and engagement in learning.

Facilitator One: Kimberley Williamson completed her Master’s in Communication (IMC) in 2020. Currently, she is a Marketing Consultant (www.marketingintentworkshops.com) who enjoys working with clients to build and implement effective marketing strategies to improve business, brand and customer relationships. She expertly develops marketing strategies and produces content for creating long-term relationships with businesses. She enjoys the changing dynamic of marketing and the need to understand the client’s needs and goals of their clients. Previous to working in Marketing, Kim taught English in Oman and South Korea. She strongly believes Asset Based Community Development is a sound methodology for sustainable community development because its focus is on community strengths, community collaboration and believing in what is achieved once people know their potential. In her free time she enjoys yoga, drama and day tripping.

Facilitator Two: Ahmed Siffat Naveel is a marketing communications professional and a consultant based out of Bangladesh. He is currently involved as an adjunct faculty member at a local private university where he lectures marketing to business administration students. Naveel is a keen researcher with interests spanning across new media communications and consumers’ response to disruptive technologies. He obtained a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Eligibility

Learners must be aged 19 and over

Access to a computer and the internet

Knowledge in IT is preferred

Good communication in English is necessary

Must create new email for the development of their new website
